Further your floral knowledge in the Advanced Skills Seminars. Each Seminar focuses on a specific topic every up and coming designer must know to move ahead in the industry. Expand your technique, artistry and knowledge to be able to offer your clients sophisticated designs that command top dollar. Design training or work experience is required to enroll in these Seminars. Enrollees should be graduates of the Cass School of Floral Design's Professional Florist Training Program, another professional training program or have worked in a flower shop. Today's Wired Bouquet on March 25, 2012 Kate Middleton carried one and now brides everywhere are embracing them. In this class you will learn how to wire delicate and complicated flowers, what flowers and foliages to select to create a cascade and other shapes and how to create bouquets that are mechanically sound and visually beautiful. Each student will create two hand-tied bouquets of wired flowers, one bouquet will be a modern cascade and one bouquet will be a sophisticated circular design using the choicest popular blossoms. Large Scale Design for Spring on April 1, 2012 & Large Scale Design for Fall on September 24, 2012 Learn how to create stunning large scale arrangements that will WOW them at any event or function! This Seminar will teach you the mechanics behind assembling a large arrangement in and urn or large basket and the design techniques utilized to properly assemble large pieces. Each student will create a large scale arrangement using seasonal blooms and flowering branches. You will leave this class with the knowledge and confidence to take on big arrangements required for the church, lobby and stage. In-Style Sympathy Design on November 4, 2012 In this class you will learn how to create sympathy pieces that are not your standard funeral pieces. Students will create a lush European Garden Style casket cover, a contemporary linear arrangement suitable for memorial services and a wreath or heart using non-traditional flowers and foliages. Trends and Techniques for 2013 on November 11, 2012 Learn the color palettes of 2013 and the trends and design techniques that will be hot in the New Year. We will introduce you to the newest accessories and products and teach you how to incorporate 2013's trends into your work. Students will use these techniques and trends to create a beautiful vase arrangement and stunning centerpiece. A must Seminar to create the designs that will be the star of your 2013 portfolio! The Advanced Skills Seminars are not part of our multi-week Professional Training Programs. For the Advanced Skills Seminars there are no refunds, no date changes and no makeup classes. If you can not attend you may send someone in your place if you notify us in advance or you may pick up your flowers within seven days of the class. |
