Advanced Design Program
Schedule & Online Registration

You will learn and apply advanced styles and techniques in wedding and sympathy designs during this five day program. Classical, traditional and contemporary styles will be analyzed and design mechanics will be demonstrated. Hands-on designing is a major element. In wedding work you will create bouquets and other pieces. In sympathy work, you will apply design styles to pieces from baskets and sprays to casket covers.

All of your design work will be individually reviewed and discussed with you. You will need to bring floral design tools, a notebook and pen to class. All flowers, other suppliers and materials are provided as part of your tuition. You will take home every completed design you make.

Design training or experience is the best basis for this program. Enrollees should be graduates of a formal floral design program or have work or show-level experience in floral design. A certificate in Advanced Floral Design is presented when you complete the program.

The May 13 - May 22, 2008 Advanced Design Program will be a special Wedding Design Program that will teach you how to create a complete wedding featuring the most up to date styles today's brides are seeking. Non-wedding topics usually covered during the Advaced Design Program will not be covered.

You will learn the freshest approaches to creating gorgeous bridal bouquets, memorable ceremony and reception decor, stunning centerpieces, corsages and wedding accessories. This is a hands on program where you will create a variety of designs including hand tied and individually wired stem bouquets and currently popular centerpieces. Due to the fast pace of this Program students must be proficient at wiring and taping flowers and have basic floral design skills. Students should be graduates of the Cass School of Floral Design's Professional Florist Training Program or have professional design experience.
